The First Session

The Intro, Welcoming Change and Setting goals

wow.....that was full on. Four hours of information poured into me. Let me explain...

First I met the other guys there. They were all really great blokes. All of them were friendly and were there for similar reasons to me. To change their life.

Once we got started we were put into groups of two or three. The guys we were put with were our 'wings'. Now before you jump to any conclusions based on your knowledge of the book 'the game' or any other 'pua' material out there these wings were different. (Well thats how I saw them anyway) Our wings were not there just to help us chat up girls or 'take the ugly one so we could get the hotter one'. No. They were people we could rely on. People we could have a chat to about anything and people who would be part of our journeys over the next 12 weeks.

Then the real stuff began.....
Shae (a coach with the naturals) took us through some self evaluation exercises, helped us set goals and explained to us the changes we could make as the course progressed.
This entire session was about opening us up and making us ready for change.
A lot of stuff to do with 'Inner game' for those that understand what that means.

Shae is a great bloke. Really approachable and friendly. His speciality is Inner Game. He's the go to guy to sort out those inner issues you have. Self image, confidence and whatever else....he's your man. He has been doing this stuff for over a decade.

Something that really stuck out to me was a quote that Shae pointed out.
"What the thinker thinks, the prover proves." or something along those lines.
I'll let you think about that and how it relates to your own life.

We were then told to look at our workbooks. Inside were a list of weekly missions that we had to complete (There was a points system in play. The more missions you did the more points you got. I can see this turning into some sort of competition between the guys as the class goes on. Will be lots of fun) and a small weekly evaluation and debrief we had to fill out. This is actually some homework I'm going to enjoy doing. Ha!

By the end of thiss class, I had this image of the guy I'd like to be in my mind. Over the next 12 weeks I'm going to be trying to make that guy real.

I will be meeting up with my wings on tuesday to complete some of these missions.

Thats it for today.....

Till next time.

Jimi
